In 1927 Giuseppina Pizzigoni created a public school which is still an excellence in Milan today: with classrooms open onto the garden, the swimming pool and football and basketball fields and an agricultural company complete with vegetable garden, greenhouse and domestic animals, children can learn not by listening but by doing, not by accumulating information but by becoming active protagonists.

The heart of the film is the adventure that takes place every day at Rinnovata, its protagonists are the children of VD and their teachers.

The film was presented at various festivals, was shown in cinemas , schools and libraries and was broadcast on Italian Swiss Television.
