A SHARP COLD PIN
A film on Eating Disorders

Directed by Renata Tardani
Duration 40'
The film was shot during the therapeutic trip to Israel of the Asso Eating Disorders Community and the psychological sessions in which the girls, starting from the trip, try to understand the origin of their pain and overcome their disease.
The film touches a much broader audience than those directly or indirectly interested in the subject of eating disorders because, at bottom, it deals with universal themes: the fear of growing up, of making the wrong choices in life, the relation with one's own body, the importance but also the fear of relating to others.
Despite dealing with such a dramatic theme, the film opens up to hope: at its center is the girls' struggle to stop surviving and finally start living.

The film participated in various national and international festivals, was distributed in cinemas, libraries and broadcasted by Italian Swiss Television.
